CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
All Levels Yoga - All Levels Yoga is moderate intensity yoga class suitable for most students with some yoga experience. A well rounded practice to include meditation, warm up standing and seated asanas and relaxation. Modifications will be offered and tips for attempting unfamiliar poses.
Gentle Yoga - Rediscover how your body moves with the breath. Stretch and relax. Benefits: stress reduction, relaxation, relief from stiffness & pain, lower blood pressure and heart rate
Beginners - New to yoga? Learn an overview of breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation, and proper alignment asanas (poses).
Hatha Yoga - is a physical asana practice. You will learn breathing and meditation techniques and practice asana for stretch, strength and balance.
Yin and Restorative Yoga - A very quiet and contemplative form of yoga, which cultivates self acceptance and our ability to live in the present moment, Awareness of our connection between our energy centers and meridians and how they affect our physical, emotional and spiritual life are a benefit. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
Iyengar Style - Asanas using props such as blocks, blankets and straps to emphasize proper alignmentof the body.
Restorative Yoga - A quiet class where you will learn specialized asanas using props for relaxing and restoring energy.
Energetic Flow - Combines the ujjayi breath to heat the body, bringing more oxygen to the blood, with a continuous flow of asanas that safely take you deeper into your practice -- building strength, flexibility, and endurance.
Yoga and Abs, All Levels - Strengthen your abdomials and stabilize your torso, giving support to the spine and making your movements effortless, while promoting proper alignment.
Level 1 / Assisted (chair) Yoga - Using a chair for support, seniors and those with physical challenges can find balance, strengthen muscles and become more flexible. You will learn deep breathing and relaxation techniques to remain healthy and active, maintain mental quickness and increase your energy level.
Yoga Tune Up - The poses, routines and structures of Yoga Tune Up are fun , varied and designed for All Levels. Directions of movement of all the joints through end range of motions are explored. Conscious relaxation, breathing techniques, intentions to define a purposeful path, and self-massage are employed. Yoga Tune Up improves your overall strength, flexibility and coordination no matter what style of yoga you teach or practice.
Flow Strength Yoga - Building heat and energy through sun salutations, standing balance poses and a variety of asanas connecting breath with movement.
Community Class - A fluid class moving from pose to pose in a playful mood. Find and explore your strengths and weaknesses and learn to carefully probe those limits in a safe manner. Increase your sensitivity to the inner feeling of your body and let it guide you as your breath and movement become one.
