CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Gentle Yoga - Rediscover how your body moves with the breath. Stretch and relax.
Beginners - New to yoga? Learn an overview of breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation, and proper alignment asanas (poses).
Hatha Yoga - is a physical asana practice. You will learn breathing and meditation techniques and practice asana for stretch, strength and balance.
Yin Yoga - A cooling, calming seated and supine practice focusing on safely stretching the connective tissue around the joints.
Iyengar Style - Asanas using props such as blocks, blankets and straps to emphasize proper alignmentof the body.
Restorative Yoga - A quiet class where you will learn specialized asanas using props for relaxing and restoring energy.
Flow and Strength - Move from pose to pose with the breath building strength and flexibility. For students seeking a stronger moving practice.
Energetic Flow - Combines the ujjayi breath to heat the body, bringing more oxygen to the blood, with a continuous flow of asanas that safely take you deeper into your practice -- building strength, flexibility, and endurance.
Ashtanga Yoga - is a dynamic and energetic practice as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. The style emphasizes the importance of the body-breath-mind connection and uses vinyasa - combined breath and movement - to create a graceful flow through a progressive sequence of postures. It builds strength and flexibility, while generating an internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies the body. This led class introduces students to the poses in the first series. Ashtanga yoga is a strenuous discipline, for students with previous yoga experience.
Pilates Matwork Class - Strengthen your abdomials and stabilize your torso, giving support to the spine and making your movements effortless, while promoting proper alignment.
Liquid Yoga - practice a sequence of postures, in a heated environment, increasing flexibility using the breath and repeating each posture twice. Class is one and a half hours. Bring a towel and water.
Meditation for All - A quieting, stabilizing & refreshing class including guided imagery, breath work, restorative poses and seated meditations.
